Meet Dr. Katz

The field of Dentistry is constantly evolving and Dr. Katz understands the importance of keeping up to date with the newest and the best dental technology. Dr. Katz earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgeries (DDS) from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1983. He served eight years (1984-1992) with the Public Health Services at Lincoln Hospital/Belvis Community Clinic as a Senior Dentist and Assistant Clinical Director from 1984-1991. He has been in private practice in New Jersey since 1987. Dr. Katz has completed advanced training in Periodontics, Endodontics and Implant placements. He taught in the Dental Residency Program as a member of the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Dental Staff from 1991-2007; Currently Dr Katz is teaching at the Englewood Hospital Dental Residency as a clinical instructor since 2018. 

Dr. Katz is a member of the NJDA, ADA, AAID, Middlesex County Dental Society, and the North Bergen Implant Study Club. Dr. Katz places strong emphasis on continuing education and insists on using only the best materials and most advanced technology dentistry has to offer. He is highly trained in the management of dental anxiety and the alleviation of dental pain. Dr. Katz believes in an evidence-based approach to dentistry and believes that patients should be actively involved in choosing the treatment options that best suites their individual needs. He helps his patients to better understand their dental condition and available treatment options.
